Damon Wayans made a rare appearance during a recent interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club. During the interview, the topic steered toward Bill Cosby and the sexual assault and drugging allegations from over 50 women.

From the clip posted, one could say Wayans was #TeamCosby.

“If I was him, I would divorce my wife, wink-wink, give her all my money, and then I would go do a deposition,” he said in the interview. “I would light one of them three-hour cigars. I’d have some wine and maybe a Quaalude, and I would just go off, because I don’t believe that he was raping.

“How big is his penis that it gives you amnesia for 40 years?” Wayans continued. “If you listen to them talk, they go, ‘Well, the first time … ’ The first time? Bitch, how many times did it happen? Just listen to what they’re saying and some of them really is unrapeable. I look at them and go, ‘You don’t want that. Get outta here.’”

It was those comments that probably cost Wayans a lot of fans, and got him schooled about rape.

But now Wayans is backtracking via a video he posted on his social network account.

Wayans went on to say that in the same interview, he did offer his condolences to anyone who was victimized by Cosby.

“And for them, my heart goes out to them. For anybody who was raped by Bill Cosby, I’m sorry and I hope you get justice,” Wayans stated.

Well, maybe all of that should have been said in the first place instead of joking about women who were raped. This isn’t rocket science. I doubt Wayans wouldn’t feel a little differently about Cosby and the situation if it involved his sister or another female relative.
