Chris Brown recently completed his probation after being charged with felony assault against Rihanna. The incident occurred six years ago, but it’s still something that Brown will carry with him forever. Many people have been able to forgive Brown, including Rihanna, but several staffers on The Daily Show have expressed their issues with having Brown appear on Tuesday night’s show.
According to the Daily Beast, some staffers on the Comedy Central show disapproved of Brown's booking, but host Trevor Noah’s goal is to use the interview as an opportunity to discuss domestic violence.
Noah has previously discussed the fact that his mother was shot in the face by his stepfather, who also threatened to kill him. Over the last six years, Brown’s behavior has included everything from outbursts to fights and alleged gang affiliation.
One has to wonder if Noah will actually touch on all of these subjects, including his past issues and how they possibly correlate with one another. Maybe a late-night talk show isn’t the best venue for Brown to discuss these things, but it’ll be interesting to see if he actually does.
