Waterkeeper Alliance (link) is an international agency that works on issues involving the world's waterways, from pollution to climate change. The advocacy director will serve as chief spokesperson and litigator for Waterkeeper, as well as supervise a team of attorneys and other staff, help set the group's advocacy goals, and build and direct programs to achieve those goals.
Successful applicants need to demonstrate a passion for the environmental goals of Waterkeeper Alliance. They also will need to pass the New York State Bar and be willing to work longer hours and weekends when necessary.
