New York-based environmental development and management firm Bright Farms is currently looking for an environmental development associate to help market the company's rooftop hydroponic greenhouses to grocery stores and food retailers across the country. BrightFarms mitigates the cost of food transport and handling by allowing grocers to cultivate and grow produce atop their roofs, selling their produce to customers immediately after harvesting.
Ideal candidates should have a passion for environmental issues and the "environmental performance of companies." Additionally, candidates should have an extensive understanding of how food production works. Experience with environmental sustainability, renewable energy and agriculture are also preferred.
