Mechanical Contractors Inc. in Charlotte, N.C., is seeking a director of energy services. The director will develop opportunities to implement energy-efficiency and renewable-energy improvements in commercial buildings, maximize profitability and maintain customer satisfaction.
The person in this position will be responsible for seeking out and developing commercial and institutional customers with energy-efficiency needs, promoting solutions and services that provide energy improvements and working cooperatively with MCI project resources in engineering, service, controls, maintenance and installation. He or she will also estimate finances to develop pricing and rate-of-return analysis, identify best technical solutions and new technologies, promote applications as economically feasible and provide internal energy expertise for special requirements as needed.
To apply for this job, the ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a field related to building science, a master's degree or other higher certification such as CEM, and preferably a professional engineering license. Also required are working knowledge of energy-modeling software systems and concepts, project financing and commercial-lease structures, and familiarity with HVAC and lighting systems and applications, with an emphasis on energy-improvement methods.
An annual salary of $75,000 to $100,000 based on qualifications is being offered, and benefits include medical insurance, life insurance, disability and 401(k).
