On Sunday, Cynthia Erivo was one of many stars who graced the 2025 Grammys in style and one of the few that would later perform on the main stage inside—the latter of which received much fan fair but more on that later. However, it was the blinged out accessory she sported on the red carpet that really got people to talking.

Opting to give her signature “Wicked” green a break, Erivo instead showed up donning a maxi length navy blue Louis Vuitton dress with a silver breastplate looking mock turtleneck attachment. In addition to her ultra-sparkly and signature long nails, she also rocked diamond rings courtesy of Messika Diamond Jewelry but it was the huge rock sitting on her ring finger that had keen-eyed fans speculation on whether or not she had finally gotten engaged to her longtime partner Lena Waithe.

The two have reportedly been together since 2020 but they only went public with their relationship back in 2022. Unfortunately for some fans, it seems they’ll have to wait a little while longer before they tie the knot as a source confirmed to PEOPLE on Monday that the ring Erivo was wearing was not an engagement ring but instead just a regular jewelry loan.

But, if fans really want something to talk about, then they should focus instead on Erivo’s jaw-dropping performance as a part of the Quincy Jones tribute. Accompanied by legendary pianist Herbie Hancock, the “Wicked” star sang Frank Sinatra’s famous hit, “Fly Me to the Moon”—a song that Jones famouslt arranged back in 1964. Her performance was so divine it received live positive reactions from folks like Queen Latifah and John Legend who were watching from the audience. It also spawned countless social media reactions from folks praising her vocal ability.

“Cynthia Erivo’s technical prowess as a vocalist is actually insane. It’s like every single crescendo/decrescendo, melisma, enunciation, riff. Switching from head voice to mix and then belt. So perfectly and beautifully curated. One of the voices of our generation,” wrote one user on X/Twitter.

Said another, “(Cynthia Erivo is one of the best singers walking planet earth right now.)”

“Wow, I was today years old when I learned that Quincy Jones did the musical arrangement for Frank Sinatra’s ‘Fly Me To The Moon,’ why am I surprised, he was the GOAT, a genius. Cynthia Erivo understood the assignment,” one other user said.
