Things that can get you in trouble in certain places: Walking while black, driving while black and now, evidently, wearing brown tights while black. That's right, brown tights. An 11-year-old middle school honors student was dismissed from class and sent to the principal's office for wearing a pair, KTLA reports.

Why? A teacher's assistant reportedly thought their "racy" color's similarity to her skin tone made her look naked.
"I can understand if they said OK, this type of material, this type of clothing," the student's flabbergasted mother said. "But for you to make a remark to state because the pants were brown and to make a remark about my daughter's skin color … That was not right to me."
According to the school district, "appropriate administrative action" was taken against the teacher's assistant who made the questionable call.
