In September, Columbus Short pleaded no contest in a felony assault case and was sentenced to three years of supervised probation after punching a man and causing him to have a concussion. But that probation may come to a screeching halt, the Associated Press reports, after drug tests showed the actor tested positive for cocaine and marijuana, according to court records.
Short is scheduled to appear in front of Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Leslie E. Brown to address the drug tests, AP reports.
Short’s attorney Ludlow B. Creary II says that Short’s recent court issues are overblown.
“It’s our belief that Mr. Short is going to continue to make progress,” Creary said.
In addition to the probation, Short was sentenced to anger management and community service.
