Los Angeles Superior Judge James R. Brandlin on Friday sentenced Chris Brown to serve 365 days in jail after the beleaguered R&B singer admitted that he violated probation last year, the Daily News reports.
He was given credit for 234 days that he already served in jail and rehab, leaving him with 131 days to spend behind bars, the report says. The sentence came after he told the judge that he committed a crime last year in Washington, D.C., the News says.
He still faces a misdemeanor assault charge in Washington after he was accused of hitting a man outside a hotel. He was arrested in mid-March, following his dismissal from a court-mandated rehab sentence.
The singer has been under court supervision after pleading guilty in 2009 to assaulting his former girlfriend, pop singer Rihanna.
