Wyclef Jean answered accusation as to the use of funds by Yele, the aid organization he founded. Speaking before dozens of reporters, Jean states that he never used Yele funds for personal benefit.

Mid-presser, Jean broke down as he spoke into the camera directly to the people of Haiti. He said he did not weep for himself, but for their suffering. Upon composing himself, Jean had this to say: “Just permit us a little time. We’ll be back on the ground on Saturday. We’ll be back every week until we help the situation.”
