Good news for former U.S. Sen. Carol Moseley Braun and bad news for her mayoral opponents, including Rahm Emanuel: Now that two black candidates have dropped out, Braun is the only black politician still running for mayor in Chicago. According to the New York Times, there were worries among African-American leaders that the black vote would be split in the city, but now that Braun's former opponents have dropped out of the race and thrown their weight behind her, that likely won't be the case.
