Belcalis Almanzar, professionally known as Cardi B, has been riding the radio waves for months now on feature after feature, as well as her own hit singles that have been dropped like so many breadcrumbs leading us up to the release of her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, this Friday, April 6.
On Thursday the “Trap Selena” dropped a new single, “Be Careful”—a warning call to an unnamed cheater we can all assume is Migos rapper Offset, Cardi’s fiance. Cardi sings the hook on the track, which she released just days after announcing her upcoming album release and revealing the cover art.
Then, as if that weren’t enough, the video for “Bartier Cardi” dropped Monday night.
The song was released late last year, but we had to wait months for the visuals that go along with it.
If the song didn’t immediately grow on you when it initially came out, the new video may help.
Sporting blond hair and plenty of sexy outfits, Cardi makes out with Offset and potentially dispels any rumors that she might be pregnant, depending on when this video was recorded—her stomach is flat as a board.
Everyone knows I go up for Cardi. I respect her game, her hustle and her come up.
I’m ready for her album to come out this week because I’m curious as to what she will have for us.
She hasn’t disappointed me yet. This has been a magical year for Cardi, and I am hoping that trend continues with the new album.
