With an impressive list of accomplishments that includes a slew of number-one singles and a Best Rap Album GRAMMY, rapper Cardi B is all about her hustle. But while Cardi, who worked at a deli as a teen to make ends meet, is raising her three children a long way from the Bronx neighborhood she grew up in, the mom of three has no intention of letting her kids fall back on being nepo babies.

“My biggest fear is my kids not having that DRIVE ...IDGAF what you wanna do!!” she posted. “MAKE A BILLION DOLLARS OUT OF IT! 😤,” Cardi wrote on her Instagram stories on January 29.

While Cardi is known for gushing over her adorable offspring on social media, she has no intention of handing them everything on a silver platter.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper, who shares 6-year-old Kulture, 3-year-old Wave and a 4-month-old daughter with rapper Offset, told Vogue Singapore in a 2022 cover story that even though her kids won’t have to struggle, she doesn’t want them to think that things will always come easy.

“They need to know to never feel comfortable. Don’t ever feel like, ‘I’m going to get it because I’m Cardi and Offset’s kid,’” she said. “They are never going to know what struggle feels like, so they might not have that hunger I had to leave the streets.”

She added that she wants her kids to know the value of hard work and understand that their hustle will earn them a lot more respect in the long run – no matter what career path they choose.

“Even though my kids are well-off, I want them to know that when you work for things and achieve it, it’s more respected — especially when people see that you bust your ass for it,” she said.
