Ouch.
According to CBS New York, Cardi B (born Belcalis Almanzar) has been indicted on multiple felony charges related to a brawl at Angels Strip Club in New York City in August of last year. The 26-year-old rapper was previously facing misdemeanor charges for reckless endangerment and assault. But it looks like those charges were since updated on Friday, as she has been indicted on 14 charges, including felony assault, conspiracy and harassment.
Per police reports, according to CBS New York, a fight broke out between Cardi and a female bartender at the club, resulting in tossed chairs, bottles and hookah pipes. The bartender and a coworker claimed slight injuries from the incident.
If you remember correctly, this past April, Cardi decided not to cop any pleas and refused to accept an earlier deal offered to her in connection with the previous charges. Had she accepted the plea deal to the single charge, she would’ve been able to avoid any jail time.
Cardi is scheduled to appear at her next hearing on August 9, per HuffPost. Her parole conditions have been continued by order of a judge, including an order of protection issued for the complainants.
