It looks like the holidays are going to be anything but happy for Cardi B and Offset. The estranged couple and parents of three have been in the middle of a heated beef which is playing out in a very public way on X, and their fans (over 40 million between them, to be exact) have been there to watch the whole thing – and share their opinions, of course.
The pair has held nothing back in their now-deleted exchange. But it all came to a head on December 18, in a series of posts, including one in which the Migos rapper called on Cardi to stop the pettiness and focus on putting out new music instead, writing:
“Nobody win when the fam fight stop capping to these ppl to make yourself look like the hoe,” he wrote. “It ain’t the look u a fire [woman] good music but you focus on d*k and tryna make me look bad focus bra this sh*t is whack from us both honestly. Drop the album and go up.”
Cardi, who filed for divorce back in August, clapped back on X calling on Offset to sign the divorce papers and make their split final once and for all, writing:
“So dating because I’m single means I’m just worried about d*k?? You sound like a dummy,” she replied. “Trying to be fake nice after you did what you wanted from the beginning trying to push a narrative to these people. Congratulations!! Fu*k off and sign the papers TODAY.”
Offset then called on Cardi, who is asking for primary custody of the couple’s three children, to change the agreement before he agrees to the split.
While some are loving every bit of the mess, others say the couple’s public display of dislike is much ado about nothing and the pair are actually laughing at everyone who is invested.
And still others are asking Cardi and Offset to keep their business to themselves.
“TAKE US OUT OF THE RATCHET A** GROUPCHAT OR GET DIVORCED!” someone posted on X.
