Cardi B and Offset spent 24 hours this week engaged in a very public, very messy social media spat — perhaps their worst yet. It’s the latest in a list of messy and complicated things the two married rappers have done to each other during their lengthy and messy relationship.

First collab
The first time the two artists performed together was on the 2016 track “Lick.” While the two weren’t linked romantically yet, it may have been a preview of what would come.
First date
This couple’s first public outing together was at the Super Bowl in 2017. The internet lost its collective mind after Offset streamed a live video of them watching the game together.
Keeping it on the low
For most of 2017, the two would often deny that they were together and would publicly state that the Super Bowl outing was just a date. But it turned out they were just (poorly) trying to hide their relationship.
Proposal
Offset proposed to Cardi in front of thousands of people on stage during a Philadelphia show in September 2017. The two would secretly get married a month later.
Cheating allegations
In the first of many cheating allegations, an alleged video of Offset with another woman in the hotel was leaked on the internet in December 2017. They both denied the rumors.
First pregnancy
Initially denying rumors that she was pregnant, Cardi B first revealed her baby bump during an April 2018 “Saturday Night Live” performance. Their oldest daughter, Kulture, was born on July 10, 2018.
First split
After months of denying and addressing cheating allegations, Cardi first split with the Migos rapper in Dec. 2018, saying in a since-deleted IG video, “There you go, peace and love.” It wouldn’t be the first time the two would split.
Offset wants Cardi back
Offset wasn’t happy that his woman split with him publicly, and he made it known on social media for the whole world to see.
Reconciliation
In January 2019, the two got back together for the first time with some new rules to ensure that Offset would never cheat again.
”Clout”
As a way to reaffirm their relationship, the two collaborated on the track “Clout.” Offset even brought out his wife during a “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” performance. They would be nominated for best rap performance at the 2020 Grammys for the song.
Cardi B files for divorce
In September 2020, Cardi filed for divorce from the Atlanta rapper, less than a week before their third anniversary. During an Instagram Live, she explained, “I’m seeing people be like, ‘Oh, he has a baby on the way.’ That’s a whole f–king complete lie. That’s the second time people are trying to pin babies over here. No, that’s bullshit. I just got tired of f***ing arguing. I got tired of not seeing things eye to eye.”
They get back together…again
Despite the divorce rumors, the two were seen being really close to each other during Cardi’s 28th birthday celebration in Las Vegas in October 2018. The two would end up getting back together shortly after that.
Second child
At the 2021 BET Awards, Cardi revealed that she and Offset were expecting their second child, Wave. He was born Sept. 4, 2021.
More cheating rumors
In June 2023, Offset was the one accusing Cardi of cheating this time, saying on Twitter, “Don’t pay attention that country man y’all.”
”Jealousy”
A month after Offset accused his wife of cheating, their collaboration track “JEALOUSY,” was released, addressing many of the rumors and scandals surrounding their relationship.
Second split
In December 2023, after rumors started to swirl that Offset cheated with Chrisean Rock, Cardi revealed that she was single during an Instagram Live: “I wanna start 2024, like, fresh, open. I don’t know. I’m curious for a new life, for a new beginning. And yeah, I’m excited.”
”Like What”
While Offset was not featured in this March 2024 song, fans were shocked when they discovered that he directed the music video for it.
Cardi B files for divorce
In July 2024, Cardi B filed for divorce against the Migos artists again, with her rep telling outlets, “It was not based on any one particular incident…it has been a long time coming and is amicable.”
Third child
Just days after it was announced she was filing for divorce, she revealed that she was pregnant with her third child from Offset. Born on Sept. 7, the name baby of the baby has yet to be revealed.
More cheating allegations
During the week of Sept. 23, 2024, Cardi B and Offset traded words on social media. Offset accused the “WAP” rapper of cheating on him while she was pregnant with their third child. She confirmed Offset’s suspicions when she tweeted, “AND DID!!!!”
During an Instagram Live, she said, “I’m too much of a boss b***h for you. And I always been too good for you.”
