Keshia Knight Pulliam and comedian Joe Torry were just a few of Bill Cosby’s supporters who joined him last week during his first week in a Pennsylvania courthouse for his sexual assault trial. There were no family members to be seen, but on Monday, Cosby’s wife, Camille, made her first appearance at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Pa.

Camille Cosby has been silent recently regarding the accusations against her husband, but two years ago she did state that Bill Cosby was the man the world thought he was, in terms of being “Dr. Huxtable-like” and a caring father.

Last week the prosecution rested its case against the comedian, during which Cosby’s accuser Andrea Constand testified about what allegedly occurred in 2004 at Cosby’s home.

“In my head I was trying to get my hands to move or my legs to move, but I was frozen and those [mental] messages didn’t get there and I was very limp, so I wasn’t able to fight him,” Constand said. “I wanted it to stop.”

In a deposition from 2005 and 2006, Bill Cosby said that he gave Constand Benadryl to relax her during their encounter, which Cosby says was consensual.

“I wanted her to be comfortable and relaxed and be able to go to sleep after our necking session,” Cosby had said.

It’s rumored that during this week’s court hearings, Cosby may take the stand as the defense presents its case. If convicted, Cosby faces up to 10 years in jail.
