Talking Points Memo reports that on Fox last night, Cain sat for yet another interview after the Politico story of allegations of sexual harassment against him, and seemed more than willing to stand behind his PAC, which called the sexual harassment allegations a "high-tech lynching" Tuesday.

Transcript courtesy of Talking Points Memo:

KRAUTHAMMER: But does race have any part of that? Establishment, maverick, yes. What about race?

CAIN: Relative to the left I believe race is a bigger driving factor. I don't think it's a driving factor on the right. This is just based upon our speculation.

Sounds like a conveniently timed change of heart from the guy whose "speculation" before this controversy hit the headlines was that "racism in this country doesn't really hold anyone back in a big way." Potentially derailing a presidential campaign seems pretty big to us. So maybe what he really meant was "racism doesn't hold anyone back in a big way, except when it's from the left and it's directed at me."
