Cain Stumbles Over Libya Question

When GOP presidential hopeful Herman Cain sat down with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Monday, he was asked whether he agreed with President Obama's approach to handling the uprising in Libya that toppled Muammar Qaddafi.

Highlights of his meandering answer included multiple false starts ("I do not agree with the way he handled it for the following reason — no, that's a different one"); "I just wanted to make sure we’re talking about the same thing before I say, 'Yes, I agreed' or 'No, I didn’t agree' "; and "I gotta go back and see. I got all this stuff twirling around in my head."

Listen to his full response here:

Are people being too hard on Cain for what was simply an inarticulate "oops" moment that could have happened to anyone preoccupied with sexual harassment allegations like the ones he's dealing with? Or is the awkward grasping for talking points really evidence of a bigger problem for the GOP hopeful?
