Busta Rhymes Headlines Brooklyn Hip-Hop Fest

(The Root) — The 8th Annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival continues the genre's rich legacy in the borough from July 9 to14 with headliner Busta Rhymes. The festival, produced by Brooklyn Bodega, is New York City's largest hip-hop cultural event and has featured Q-Tip, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Black Thought of the Roots and Big Daddy Kane in past years.

Rhymes, a Brooklyn native, is set to perform on Saturday, July 14.

All-ages events during the week, such as the Show and Prove Super Bowl, Bodega Education Initiative, Dummy Clap Film Festival and Salute the DJ, will lead up to the main performances.

Other hosts, artists, producers and DJs slated to attend are Freeway, KA, Clear Soul Forces, Jasmine Solano, Melo-X, Chuuwee, Fat Tony, Evitan and more.
