Michael Beal, 28, was held on charges of felony aggravated battery to a police officer and attempting to disarm a police officer on Tuesday following the shooting of his brother, Joshua Beal, 25, on Saturday, CBS News reports.

The dispute that resulted in Joshua Beal's death started over whether a funeral caravan was blocking a fire lane. Apparently, seconds after the shooting, Michael Beal tackled an off-duty officer, put him in a headlock and threatened to kill him.

According to CBS News, there were confrontations between protesters and police supporters multiple times in a predominantly white neighborhood on Chicago's Southwest Side.
