New Jersey authorities have discovered the body of what may be a missing infant abducted by her father
A body was found near a river in New Jersey, which may be that of a 3-month-old girl who was thrown off a nearby bridge by her father. Sgt. Stephen Jones says that the clothes found on the child are consistent with those described of Zara Malani-Lin Abdur-Raheem. The police will not know for sure if the body is Raheem's until further DNA tests are conducted.
Shamsid-Din Abdur-Raheem, the child's father, confessed to throwing the baby off the bridge on Feb. 16. Authorities are saying that he took the baby from her grandmother and fled her home to throw the baby off the bridge. At the time of the alleged incident, the child's mother was in court seeking a restraining order against the father. He has pled not guilty to murder and other charges.
