Bobby Brown has issued a statement on the condition of his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. Over the weekend, Bobbi Kristina was taken to North Fulton Hospital in Georgia after her husband and a friend discovered her unresponsive in a bathtub. It is now being widely reported that Bobbi Kristina has been put into a medically induced coma.
“The report that Bobbi Kristina Brown has been taken to the hospital in Atlanta, Ga., is accurate. No additional information will be forthcoming. Privacy is requested in this matter. Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time,” Bobby Brown stated.
According to E! News, police are still investigating the incident, and they have not found any illegal drugs at Bobbi Kristina’s house. Her cousin Y.F. Kennedy told the entertainment-news site that Bobbi Kristina doesn’t do drugs and has not been drinking alcohol.
“It’s a rough time lately with the anniversary,” he said, referring to the death almost three years ago of Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina’s mother. “So this is a blow to the family.”
The recent events eerily parallel Houston’s death, which occurred Feb. 12, 2012. Since Houston’s death, Bobbi Kristina’s life has taken a dramatic turn with allegations of drug use and, to the dismay of her family, marrying someone they considered to be a brother to her.
