Makeda Jahnesta Marley, 29, pleaded guilty to having nearly a dozen large marijuana plants in her home in Cain, Pa., located about 30 miles outside of Philadelphia. Marley was arrested in 2008 when authorities found her removing plants from her home when responding to a domestic dispute call. At a February hearing, Marley said she had exhausted the trust fund she received from her father's estate. Prosecutors withdrew a mandatory one-year prison sentence as part of the plea deal. She will be sentenced in October. Blowing a trust fund and then possibly blowing your freedom? Hopefully she'll make better choices in the future.
