Police have issued an alert and are seeking the public’s help in finding a 24-year-old New Jersey nurse who has gone missing.

Shanaya Coley of Paterson, N.J., was last seen at her home shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday. A nurse’s aide, Coley was set to work that night at Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat in Wyckoff, N.J., HuffPost reports.

But somewhere between her front door and her car, a violent struggle occurred, and Coley never made it to work.

Coley’s father, Willie, spoke to New York’s WNBC 4 Wednesday night. Police told him they found blood and his daughter’s glasses in the parking lot of her apartment building. Coley’s car, a charcoal-gray 2013 Nissan Altima, has also gone missing—leading police to believe that she may have been kidnapped in it.

Willie Coley told the TV station that he had driven around “half the night” Tuesday looking for his daughter, who has a 3-year-old son.

“Eventually he’s going to ask me where’s his mama, and I got not answer for him,” the father said. He hopes that his daughter will return home before her son’s 4th birthday, on Dec. 23.
