I am so sick. Today’s entry will be shorter than others. (Wait. Is that applause I hear?)

I have chills, but my temperature is just a degree or two off right now. The worst part is the nausea and dizziness. Not sure what this is, but it feels like a 24-hour bug.

I struggled to make it to boot camp this morning, which is now 6:15 a.m. Tuesdays and Fridays. I slept a solid eight hours, which is highly unusual for me. That should have been my first clue. When the alarm went off at 5:15 I didn’t feel at all rested. That was my second clue.

But I got up, and that’s when the first wave of nausea and dizziness washed over me. I figured I’d feel better once I was dressed and ready to go. I did – a little, but I’d been moving so slowly, I still got to the gym five minutes late.

I headed for the exit, stopping by the front to pay $180 for the discounted six weeks of training. Good. Now I’m officially committed. Once home, I crawled under the covers.

If there’s any good news, it’s that I have no appetite. That’s a shame, isn’t it? Still, if you need to lose a lot of weight, you know exactly what I’m talking about: Flu shot? No way! I can lose as much as 7 pounds with the flu!
