Give Tiffany Haddish all the gold-plated popcorn. If you got through the first five minutes of Monday night’s 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards without laughing your way into tears, you need your humor checked. And if you have no idea what I’m talking about, check out your new Marvel superhero, T’Tiffany Haddish:

Haddish’s five minutes in Wakanda were just the beginning of her reign over the stage at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif., where she made a remarkable 10 wardrobe changes (not counting vignettes) from the time she appeared on the red carpet to the show’s conclusion—including another round in the now familiar $4,000 Alexander McQueen halter gown she wore to the premiere of Girls Trip (though ironically, Haddish would wear a bathrobe to collect her well-deserved award for Best Comedic Performance for the film).

Over the two-hour ceremony, Haddish channeled Cardi B, Jennifer Lopez, Breakfast at Tiffany’s Holly Golightly, Gone With the Wind’s Scarlett O’Hara (in velvet curtains), Meghan Markle, Coming to America’s Imani Izzi, and, of course, herself. All the while, she kept the festivities reliably hilarious—and her audience wondering what she’d turn up in next.

But as always, Haddish kept it real, writing a beautiful tribute to her grandmother, who taught her that being real is the best thing she could be. It may make Haddish a unicorn, but it’s also made us believers.
