In the lead up to “Wicked: Part One’s” release, the film’s stars, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, have traveled the world promoting the movie. The close bond they developed during the film’s production has been evident in the overabundance of affection they’ve shown each other during the “Wicked” press tour.

We’re always here for women supporting one another, but the internet is hilariously done with their overly emotional interviews and photoshoots. Now that the movie is finally hitting theaters, social media is ready to move on from Grande and Erivo’s dramatic film roll out.

One user seems a little split on the film, writing on X, “Things I Do Not Like: Wicked; Ariana Grande; Cynthia Erivo; Weird Theater People. Things I Am Currently Obsessed with: X-Men 97; THE WICKED TRAILER OMG THAT’S HOW YOU PROMO A MOVIE!!!”

Another person is hilariously exhausted with how the entire promotional trip has played out, writing, “[I swear to God] since the press tour started I find a video every single day saying ‘Ariana grande gets emotional’”

In response to the actresses getting tattoos, one user humorously pondered their next move, posting, “A matching tattoo? How predictable. What’s next, shared hair color?”

“‘It’s cause they’re theater kids’ ‘this is their dream project, ofc they’re emotional’ okay i GETTT IT omg i’ve just never seen actors cry so much during a press tour, that’s all !! y’all can relax now,” wrote one person who isn’t just done with the film’s stars, but also its fans.

The reactions haven’t been all bad. Many of Grande’s loyal fans are happy that she and her co-star have become so close.

Someone else wants people to just let these two women live, posting, “Why are people so mad at Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo for showing HUMAN EMOTIONS?! they’re excited and grateful to be a part of something they’ve BOTH dreamed about for so long and there’s nothing wrong with them being all sensitive about it, y’all are so weird.”
