People who were once close associates of Jay-Z are now reacting to the serious allegations against the hip-hop mogul. The latest to do so is rapper and former collaborator Foxy Brown.

On Monday, just a day after the allegations against Hov were made public, Brown posted a cryptic message to her Instagram, simply writing the words “WOW” and “WAIT” on her IG stories. She later posted a cold shocked-face emoji. Everyone has a different take on what the words mean. Did she mean “Wait, what?” or “Wait! there will be more.” We will likely never know but of course, Black Internet has much to say about nothing.

While she gave no further explanation as to what she was referring to, people seemed to believe that she was reacting to the news that Jay was accused of sexually assaulting a child along with the disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy Combs.

The accuser, who is only identified as Jane Doe, claims in the lawsuit that when she was 13 years old, she was raped by the two influential rap figures at a house party after the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000, according to an NBC News report.

In response to Brown’s vague post, people compared these recent allegations against Hov to the rumors about the alleged inappropriate relationship he had with Brown in the 90s, when the “Get Me Home” rapper was only a teenager.

If you’re too young to know this, in 2001, when Jay was beefing with Nas, the “Illmatic” MC referenced the two having a sexual relationship on “Ether” when he said, “Foxy got you hot ‘cause you kept your face in her puss / What you think, you getting girls now ‘cause of your looks?”

These rumors resurfaced again in October after a social media post read, “Jay Z spot bout to be blown up soon. Once foxy NDA is over in 2025, baby, she singing! I feel like roc nation is almost done. That’s why Nicki is so comfortable talking like this.”

At the time, Brown defended Hov and denied any romantic relationship between the two, writing on Instagram, “IN ICON BUSINESS! MISS ME WITH THAT FAKE NEWS. NDA? AIN’T A MF ALIVE COULD STOP MY STORY! NDA ON MY S**T GON’ RUN 100 MILL.”

Brown has known Jay since she signed to Def Jam Records in 1996, the same year she released her debut album, “Ill Na Na.” Hov is featured on many of her songs, including “I’ll Be,” and co-wrote some records, including “Big Bad Mamma,” and “Hot Spot.”
