Call it a win-win: As Rihanna staged the successful debut of her Savage x Fenty Fall-Winter ‘18 collection at New York Fashion Week on Wednesday, her even more successful Fenty Beauty line was being honored with a 2018 Beazley Designs of the Year nomination from the Design Museum in London, England.

Now in its eleventh year, the prestigious award, which last year included Kanye West’s Life of Pablo merch line among its nominees, “is the Design Museum’s annual celebration of the most original and exciting products, concepts and designers in the world today. ... The international awards and exhibition showcase design projects from the previous 12 months, across six categories: Architecture, Digital, Fashion, Product, Graphics, and Transport,” according to the museum’s site.

In addition to Fenty’s honor in the product category, also shortlisted are the Ruth E. Carter-designed costumes from Black Panther and Telfar Global’s Fall/Winter 2018 collection, as well as Nike’s instantly sold out Nigeria World Cup kit, which, while not designed by a black designer, was influenced by and designed as a tribute to the Nigerian team and culture.

Nominees are chosen via recommendations from “design experts, practitioners and academics from across the world,” from which the museum has selected 87 nominees. All of the nominated designs will be on display in the museum through January 6, 2019; in the meantime, a specially selected jury will choose a winner in each category and an overall winner. All winners will be announced on November 15, 2018.
