As a Queens native, I am mature enough to objectively say that it’s a good time to be from the Bronx. Cardi B recently made history as the first solo female rap artist to win best rap album. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is “taring ‘ish up” in the House of Representatives. One can still rent an apartment for less than $2,000. Not to mention that the Bronx is the only borough conjoined with the rest of the country. Go figure. Thursday evening, the Bronx had another reason to stand up. Desus Nice and the Kid Mero have taken their talents to Showtime—mama they made it! In honor of the occasion, The Root caught up with the Bodega Boys to play some of our favorite trivia—“Black Ass Game.” See the entire video above. Desus & Mero airs Thursday nights at 11 p.m. ET on Showtime.
