NBA player Tristan Thompson is feeling the wrath of Blac Chyna after laying claim to Dream Kardashian. First of all, he isn’t related to the child biologically, which begs the question, why did he feel the need to say Dream is his daughter?
Late last week, in a video shared to his Snapchat story, the Cleveland Cavaliers center said, “I have two daughters, and their names are... Dream is my oldest daughter and True is the second oldest. Those are my two girls, and I miss you guys so much. I love you guys.”
While this seems to be an innocent video, there’s one thing off about it. Dream is the 8-year-old daughter of Chyna and Rob Kardashian.
Chyna wasn’t happy about Thompson’s video and let him know about it in the comment section of a post on Instagram, writing, “Dream has one mother, Angela White, and one father, Robert Kardashian. I usually don’t speak up, but I’m done. Stop all this clout chasing involving my daughter! As parents, we have joint custody, and we also have a beautiful, healthy co-parenting relationship.”
Thompson on the other hand has children of his own that he needs to take care of. While he named his daughter, True, in the Snapchat video, he also has three other children: Prince, Theo, and Tatum.
A similar situation like this one occurred in July 2023, during an episode of “The Kardashians” when Khloe Kardashian, Thompson’s ex and Dream’s aunt, said she felt like a third parent to Chyna and Rob’s young daughter, who was six years old at the time.
On the show, Scott Disick told Khloe, “You’re basically somewhat of a co-parent to Dream.”
In response, Khloe said, “More than an aunt, just a third parent... I know how important it is for Dream to have a great maternal influence, whether that be from me or her own mom or whoever, and whoever she gets it from, she gets it from.”
Naturally, social media felt like she was throwing shade at Chyna, leading to Khloe clearing the air by writing a lengthy statement on Instagram that read, “I’m sure the narrative of ‘The Kardashian’s VS Chyna’ is more fun to read but there really is nothing there anymore. We all want to move on from the negativity. The focus is on Dream and her happiness and making sure she feels unconditional love at her mommy’s house, her daddy’s house and any family members house for that matter.”
