Boxer Claressa Shields made history during the Rio de Janeiro Olympics when she became the first U.S. boxer since 1904 to win two Olympic gold medals in the sport. And now her life is getting the biopic treatment from Universal Studios.
According to Deadline, Universal acquired the rights to the Michigan native’s life story. At the age of 17, Shields became the first U.S. female boxer to win gold at the Olympics in 2012, and of course she won the gold in Rio.
