In what looked like a publicity stunt for the cameras, Bill Cosby and several associates had a night out Wednesday in Philly’s Old City at Ristorante La Veranda. Cosby, who is facing a retrial in the sexual assault of Andrea Constand, at times seemed to need a guiding hand because of alleged blindness.
During the taping of Cosby’s restaurant entrance, he spoke to several guests, who joked that Cosby always kept his comedy “clean.” The comedian seemed to be in good spirits as he laughed with the table of men, but according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, during his restaurant exit, one reporter apparently got under his skin.
“Please don’t put me on #MeToo,” Cosby said.
Too late. Apparently, Cosby isn’t blind to the fact that he’s not the only one coming under fire for sexual assault allegations in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein accusations. Or maybe he’s been taking a look at Constand’s Twitter account, where she has tweeted about the #MeToo movement, created by Tarana Burke.
In any event, if you’d like to watch Cosby turn on his charm at the restaurant, check out the video above.
