What’s a better way to discuss allegations of sexual assault and drugging than to make a joke about it? Well, maybe that’s not exactly a good way to address allegations that span decades, made by more than 20 different women. But it’s exactly what Bill Cosby did during his show Thursday night in London, Ontario.

According to people in attendance, Cosby warned a female audience member to be careful drinking around him. Richard Warnica, a National Post reporter, and others tweeted about the joke.

Warnica said the joke started when Cosby noticed a woman leaving her seat, and when he asked her where she was going, she said she was going to get a drink and asked if he wanted one. He passed on the drink and said, “You have to be careful about drinking around me.”  The audience then laughed and the show went on.

But not without another hitch.

According to the National Post, two men were also ejected from the show after heckling Cosby. One of them yelled, “We don’t love you, Bill!” As security escorted the man out of the venue, he yelled, “You are a rapist. I’m being ejected because you are a rapist.” Apparently the audience wasn’t fond of the heckler and booed him as he was escorted away.
