For nearly two decades, Bill Cosby’s wife Camille has stood by his side as the famous TV husband faced a sea of high-profile sexual assault allegations.
Now, sources tell RadarOnline.com that the Cosbys, who recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, are allegedly spending their golden years completely out of the public eye. As reported by RadarOnline.com, the now 86-year-old and his 79-year-old wife “fear for their safety” and choose to remain in seclusion for their protection.
Cosby has been accused of rape, sexual assault and sexual harassment by more than 60 women, including supermodel Beverly Johnson and actress Lili Bernard. The former television star served almost three years at a Pennsylvania state prison before he was released after his conviction was overturned in 2021 by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, who said his due process rights were violated.
The comedian, who worries he could be killed by a relative of one of his accusers or someone seeking fame, now believes his wife also could be in harm’s way. Cosby representative Andrew Wyatt told RadarOnline that the couple splits their time between their homes in Massachusetts and New York City. He adds that though they “don’t like being prisoners in their own home,” they stay put to keep themselves safe.
“He knows what kind of world they live in,” Wyatt said. “Who knows what they’d do to him, his wife, daughters, or grandchildren?”
Wyatt says he has also been the target of threats from relatives of Cosby’s accusers and told RadarOnline that he had to purchase two guns for protection.
“We live in a strange and crazy world,” Wyatt said. “People don’t care.”
