Fans are responding to former President Bill Clinton's comments about Lil Wayne's (government name: Dwayne Carter) release from prison on Pittsburgh radio station 96.1 Kiss FM’s Morning Freak Show. Clinton, who was introduced to the music of the New Orleans native by his daughter, Chelsea, remarked on Weezy’s return to society from New York's Rikers Island prison on Thursday (Nov. 4). Calling the MC "smart" and saying that he's "got ability," Clinton went on to say, "My daughter introduced me to rap and hip-hop music after I said some things she thought were not very smart.” Clinton further added, "A lot of these people, they don't just get successful by being really dumb." "These people?" Twitter fans have weighed in on the former Executive Office chief's support, with mixed results. Hopefully Lil Wayne's future actions will warrant the love he's received from a former president and current President Barack Obama.
