Former President Bill Clinton is slated to swear in Bill de Blasio, New York City’s 109th mayor, Wednesday on the steps of City Hall, the Associated Press reports.

De Blasio’s transition team said Saturday that he would be sworn in by fellow Democrat Clinton, who will use a Bible once owned by another former president, Franklin D. Roosevelt, the AP reports. De Blasio worked in Clinton's administration in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the report shows.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton also will attend the New Year's Day ceremony. De Blasio managed her successful 2000 Senate campaign, the report shows.
