It’s never all work and no play here at The Root, y’all. Though we work hard, we always make time for fun—including making fun of one another—because we’re one big ol’ happy, dysfunctional family. And because our family is spread out across the country, most of these hijinks take place on our messaging system, Slack.
In the spirit of #FlashbackFriday, our intrepid weekend Social Media Editor Corey Townsend sparked some serious chuckles when he shared a photo of what I quickly labeled his “blond ambition” phase ...
... and in what may need to become a weekly event, hilarity quickly ensued. Within seconds, the feed was flooded with awkward haircuts and questionable fashion choices, and our office was filled with cackles and screams of laughter. And because we love our readers (read: are absolutely shameless), we’re sharing them with you.
Needless to say, it was a fun Friday here at The Root—and we’ve come a long way, baby. And we here at The Glow Up would especially like to thank you for making our first three days such a success. We are so excited to be here and to keep glowing up with you. Happy #FlashbackFriday!
