We’re not entirely sure why anyone takes Boosie Badazz seriously anymore—especially since he has a track record of saying incendiary things to stay relevant. But in light of his recent ignorant commentary around “The Color Purple” and its same-sex relationship storyline, we’ve decided to gather a list of the most ridiculous sh*t the rapper has ever said, and the celebrity beefs his words have ignited.

When Brittney Griner was detained in Russia on drug charges for nearly 10 months before being released in a prisoner swap in December, Boosie went on social media to blame VP Kamala Harris for the debacle. Fans quickly corrected the emcee and told him to direct his ire toward Vladimir Putin—the president of Russia—instead.

In 2020, a video posted to X/Twitter showed Boosie saying that he paid for sex for underage male family members. “I’m training them boys right,” Boosie said in the clip. “Ask any of my nephews, ask any of them, ask my son. Yeah, when they was 12, 13, they got [oral sex] . . . That’s how it’s supposed to be.” Yikes.

In 2022, Boosie called for a lower sentence when R. Kelly was given 30 years following his conviction on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. “People getting 15/20 years for murder [and] he get 30,” Boosie stated after Kelly’s sentencing. “Yes he was wrong af for manipulating young girls [and] sexing them but he didn’t kill anyone [nor] aggravated rape anyone. [And] no blame on the parents who knew everything. Resentence this man.”

You’d think Boosie would have enough common sense to not disparage other people’s children, but of course he doesn’t. In 2020, he commented on Zaya Wade— Dwyane Wade’s transgender daughter—about transitioning. “Don’t cut his d**k off, bruh,” he said in an Instagram video addressed to Dwyane. “Like, bruh, for real, if he gonna be gay, let him be gay...Don’t dress him as a woman, dawg. He’s 12 years old. He’s not up there yet.”

Condemning ‘The Color Purple’

Boosie, who is the furthest thing from a film savant, decided to share his experience about seeing “The Color Purple” earlier this month. Of course, had some hostility toward the same-sex storyline. “I HAD TO WALK OUT THIS COLOR PURPLE MOVIE... BECAUSE I HAD MY LITTLE GIRLS WITH ME N IT SEEMED LIKE A [rainbow emoji] LOVE STORY,...WHOEVER WROTE THE SCRIPT IS PUSHING THE NARRATIVE HARD.”

In response, transgender activist TS Madison read him for filth, noting the rapper’s hypocrisy and even going in on him hiring sex workers for his sons.
“Let me let you in on a lil secret: GOD made ADAM AND EVE AND STEVE and he Even made Timothy,” Madison wrote on X. “But the acts of predatory behavior on your sons that’s been generationally passed from your grandfather to You and now from you to your sons have created a new era of ‘MISTER.’”

Defending Bill Cosby

In a 2018 interview with VladTV, Boosie said he believed that Bill Cosby was innocent of the dozens of rape allegations he faced. His disgusting rhetoric was based on the belief rich and famous men don’t commit heinous sex crimes. “Every night a celebrity has women that offer themselves to them, offer their lovin’ to them, beautiful women. N****s don’t have to grab arms, we don’t have to do that because women are infatuated with us,” Boosie said.

Boosie has said some downright upsetting and violent things to star Lil Nas X over the years, but in 2021 he told the “Montero” singer: “STOP TROLLING ME F——- LOL!! IF YOU #commitsuicide YOU WOULD DO THIS WORLD A HUGE FAVOR NOBODY WANTS U HERE.”

In case anyone was wondering what Boosie thought of civil rights leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X, he took to Instagram Live last year to share his thoughts. “All those people who [were] speaking about certain stuff that go on with Black people, with everything. If they spoke that today, they would be outcasts,” he stated with a vague demeanor. “They wouldn’t be [as] great as they was back in the day.”

In an interview with VladTV last year, Boosie said he had no problem with his white fans rapping the N-Word. “They’re not coming saying ‘n***er!’ You know? I feel like they’re a fan… like they’re fans bro, they’re singing their music. It’s a different type of weight, in a conversation that’s different from a fan...Every white boy is different.” Thanks for solving that one, Boosie.

In 2021, Gabrielle Union came for Boosie Badazz after he disrespected her trans stepdaughter, Zaya. “[Boosie’s] got a lot of d–k on [his] mind,” Union said in reference for the rapper attacking both Zaya and Lil Nas X. Boosie responded and addressed Union and her hubby Dwyane Wade: “Hope you don’t think black couples look at yall like a power couple they don’t!! … Go bang him with that d**do and wait on a script u lil white girl.”

In 2021, DaBaby received immense backlash for his homophobic commentary. Of course, Boosie couldn’t wait to defend him by saying: “Everybody ain’t with their nephew sucking d***. Not everybody with that sh*t. You just can’t put that sh*t on everybody and expect it to be cool.” Boosie also used the opportunity to take shots at Lil Nas X.

Despite of the disturbing nature of the YSL Rico case that dominated headlines last year—with rapper Young Thug at its center—Boosie is convinced that he can make a movie about the whole ordeal. “I’ll document it. I’ll shoot the film,” he said AllHipHop. “Free all them boys. I don’t want nobody in there.” Even if he was serious, Boosie is seriously the wrong person to tell this story.

Even though Boosie has a shot in hell of ever pulling a woman like Lori Harvey, he still commented on her dating life in a 2021 interview.

“I know Lori [is] a beautiful woman, but we gotta stop giving the glory to the women...What about the Futures? The Trey Songz? Who are really bending through these h**s? … We gotta start giving them the credit instead of Lori.”
Many felt his words were disgusting, and we aren’t the least bit surprised.
