Authorities arrested three people Monday morning who were in a van with an arsenal of guns, ammunition and knives on the New Jersey side of the Holland Tunnel to New York City, the Washington Post reports.

According to the report, officials believe that the weapons may be drug-related.

The discovery started with a routine traffic stop because of the cracked windshield of the vehicle.

The suspects, two men in their 50s and one woman in her 20s, were taken into custody after the traffic stop in Jersey City around 7:40 a.m., ABC7 reports.

“Drugs were in the vehicle along with the guns, according to one law-enforcement official. One of the suspects allegedly told authorities that the trio was en route to Queens to try to save a friend who is on heroin and being held against her will. Police are looking for the possible woman in Queens,” NBC 4 reported.

Although the incident is not believed to be related to terrorism, the Joint Terrorism Task Force is investigating, ABC7 reports.
