I empathize. I just enjoyed half an avo on a ham sandwich at lunch — but then, I was not inadvertently subjected to scientific flavor aversion therapy in childhood either.  At least not on avocados.

I would just like to say that a commenter whose name is a Belle & Sebastian reference starred me, a commenter whose name is a Smiths reference, for a post about avocados.

My only think with avocados is that I suck at getting ripes ones, and I always end up with them going bad on me. But once in a while I get that sweet spot and it’s like falling in love all over again.

Addendum: It is the perfect “I’m too lazy to make something so I will punch a hole with my teeth and squeeze it into my mouth at every stop sign on the way home from the grocery store” item in existence.
