S. D. Chrismon is a masculine of center writer, Afrofuturist and pop culture junkie.

Just to clarify I do consider myself a woman and not non-binary. I utilize the language of Masculine of Center (MoC) as a way to signal my gender expression (I primarily wear mens clothing) and how I view my sexual orientation/identity (I consider myself a soft butch/stud).
As far as my Sorors, I’ve had wonderful

I see you sis. ((hugs))

The google doc is not directing folks to submit but to this website:

Yeah, I can see that. But I’ve always loved that song because for me its the ultimate sister move, “Listen sis your man over here and unless y’all got an agreement I’m not trying to deal with him. Besides he’s trash and you’re not so neither of us need to be dealing with him.”

Yaaasss! This is what I am hoping I convey with the article. That we gotta be audacious enough to say, “I’m caping for me. And if you not caping for me then go on.” #AriesSeason

This takes me back to the days when you dropped those chronicles on us. Can’t wait to read the next installment!

Yo! Where’s Frenchie Davis’ epic takedown?

I mix them up all the time!

Janelle, thank you for writing this. I began writing a few articles for The Root at the push of a good friend. Writing for a living is what I’ve always wanted to do. But I’ve always been gun shy; too afraid, lacking confidence in my writing. I am 45. And I’m pushing towards that freelance life with passion and fear.

Thanks for stopping by! Look I would sit in the stylists chair with the relaxer on my head and it would be burning but I’d put up with it so my hair would be straighter for longer. I used to have sores on my scalp. So leaving that “creamy crack” behind was the best thing for me!

I’m a masculine of center soft butch lesbian who fucks with femmes. I’m also monogamous for 18 years.

I’m a combination of Kyle and Synclaire 😜

Wow, that’s exquisite! I think in this dress and with the designer, all would be forgiven.

I agree! Which is why I’m like “stop it.” I get the desire to compare it. But grown-ish is its own thing. I’m excited to see where it goes!

I’m looking forward to Issa Rae’s speech because she better win!

Thanks re: my writing! Keep coming by!

I’m gonna have to check it out, I’m sure it’s on YouTube (or Hulu?). I divested from cable six months ago. She was on The View recently and she killed it. I’m excited to see where her star takes her.

Ha! I don’t know if this counts as a reboot. *lmao But awesome! The interesting thing about that episode is its one of the reasons the show was snatched off the air because it was deemed too controversial. That’s how we know that we grew up in a different time.
I’d also love to see a proper ADW reboot but I fear my

Yep! Co-Sign ADW wasn’t safe then but now those topics are things Milenials have been exposed to for years. I’m happy you agree they deserve a fresh start. I love the nostalgia of ADW but I’m equally excited for grown-ish.
