I think this was a stillbirth, not a miscarriage. So sad.

idk who cares, let people post selfies and just appreciate that they are feeling pretty that day, and stop making assumptions on why people do it.
I loved everything about this episode. I thought about my mother and other Black girls who grew up in the 50s and 60s who never got the chance to self-actualize. The visuals and storytelling are stunning and the critique on modern society is just EVERYTHING! One of the best hours of television I’ve ever experienced.
I definitely was crying at this one too, and I was so heart-warmed when Hippolyta’s final Discoverer form was her daughter’s imagined hero. I loved everything about this episode, the costume design was fantastic. I want a whole series of her adventures throughout the many universes (could be prime anime material).…
I just appreciate that even tho you said “Professor mode: Deactivated”, you still spent the next dozen plus paragraphs taking me to school. These pieces have become essential companion reading for me, thank you!
Kinitra, I had been waiiiiiiiting for this episode ever since I saw an image of Hippolyta with her shining helmet on, and after finally watching it (twice!) I had to know what you thought about it. Hippolyta’s warrior lewk gave me serious Beyonce - Girls Run The World music video vibes, and every scene with her was…
After watching that episode, I cried. I felt Hippolta deep in my soul. It brought out my creativity, my joy, and most of all my rage. Truly a gem of an episode.
They leaned hard af into Afrofuturism. Simply into one of the aspects that isn’t as well known as other. But this is deep Afrofuturism, they did a lot of research. I would recommend the paper in the reference section for more information.
This article is fantastic in the critique / emotional resonance of the episode, Just as great, for me was the deeper explanation of Afrofuturism and its impact in the here and now. I could spend weeks unpacking the glossary and recommendations.
God bless, ladies - I’ll be watching (yeah, with tears).. And nobody better fuck with you.
LOL... I saw the press conference, heard the question, heard the answer. Almost immediately I thought “Maiysha Kai is gonna have fun with this one and knock it out of the park.” And you did!
Vote. Like your life depends on it.— IT DOES!
<shrugs> One tells people to vote. Not necessarily any candidate. Just to vote. The other tears down various voting infrastructures to make it hard and accuses attempts to make voting easier this year of being fraud. Which one should I like more.
Reporters need to just say it to his face.
Reporter: You seem to hate black people and women a lot. Why is that?
Trump: That’s not true. I...
Reporter: Your actions would say otherwise.
Trump: Excuse me. I’ve done more for...
Reporter: You’ve done nothing but to try to tear minorities down. You’re only pro-white and the…
Trump just got embarrassed.
I’d advise all Dems to vote in person. Trump is saying mail in ballots won’t count. He’s planting the seeds for his scam to win. What’s craziest to me about Trump are the GOP and how they enable this sort of thing knowing well it’s wrong. They know better but don’t care. Dems need to get the majority in the senate to…
DWade and Gabby are terrifying the hearts of racist, small minded, transphobic trolls by loving and accepting their child.
Now, I’m a simple man, but I do believe that is what winning is supposed to look like.
“She is essentially doomed as the Sergeant was going to shoot her anyway, making Tic more of an instrument than an active agent”
“Then Hennessy, Cardi B and celebrity model Michelle Diaz deviously edited the videotape and published the edited version all over social media, across the world for all to see, and maliciously falsely labeled these residents and their families as ‘[Niggas]’ and as racists,” Ray added, clearly missing the irony in…
