I want to say something in response to your comment but that would spoil it even further! Lol!

Ha! I love how you have described that. Hanna says it, “Stolen magic ain’t yours.”

It was the wig-fixing that took me out on this one. I held it together for most of it, though!

Also, thank you for sharing your story with us. I see you.

Fair. We saw that prodigal son narrative coming a mile away...I feel a way because I’m like, he gonna fuck this up. But it also reminds me of Alice Walker’s Third Life of Grange Copeland...dang, I should have added that one.

I mean, he did get to be Jesus though...

The Time Lord is a famous British character from the British scifi series, Dr. Who. Hippolyta is pretty much turning into a version of this character.

Puh-lease. Gay folks been around since forever. Gay Black folks been around forever and a day.

Did it, though? Because what few rights we gained have been legislated out in the last decade or so.

Okay, that is her official designation now. Hippolyta is a Time Lord.🤷🏾‍♀️

Thank you! I’m glad folks are appreciating my fangirling of Dr. Who!🙌🏾

Again, I’m not gonna police the grammar of folks in this space. I don’t like, or appreciate, the power dynamics it sets up in a specifically Black space.

The Black folks lynched that white man because he did a hit and run on a Black woman who identified him before she died.

When Nana Hattie said that, it took me clean out. I watched that episode at least 3x and cried every single time.

Yeah but it gets their point across. Language can be flexible. We are all pretty casual round these parts.

Yes, because non-violence has worked so well. There is nothing irresponsible about this narrative for it is historically accurate and Black folks in my family and community armed themselves so I can be here writing these recaps.
