I love the name Jihad.
I love the name Jihad.
Thanks for that! I wasn’t aware, but I was referencing the name Isis (eye-sis) because of the affiliation with the group! I appreciate you sharing that with me and clearing that up!
Lolllll! Thanks for that!
My heart goes out to children in grade school with the name Isis. Kids are cruel!
Lol I hope we meet so you can introduce yourself that way also! You gotta make it count—theatrics and all. lol I think I would be so much less offended if they would ask me how to say it before butchering it and then BELIEVING that they are saying it correctly.
Lol, so true.
I’d like to name my son Horus if I have the chance of having one.
Never! I love my name too much. Thanks for sharing! When I was in 7th grade there was a Sirus in my class that I was friends with and of course when we got to Egyptian Mythology in the curriculum they teased us about loving each other. Lol All in good humor.
Lol, right?!
Thanks for sharing and you’re right. I apologize if you felt singled out! I was moreso talking about people that know and have been taught, but are still too lazy to understand. My grandmother is from Costa Rica and has a hard time enunciating my name, but she does know how it should sound. Lol Thanks for reading and…
Thank you for the compliment. There was a teacher at my university that was trying to teach me about the association of Isis and cats. I’ll have to do a little more research on that. I agree with ISIL comment! Thanks for sharing!
Auset is absolutely gorgeous!
...as hell! Lol thanks for sharing James. That’s my grandfather’s name!
Lol you’re my kind of gal! I would love to be a fly on the wall for your IUD outro. So great. Haha. I actually love unisex names. My daughter has one. Thanks for the compliment on my name also! I love it too. I have two middle names as well. When people see my ID they ask me to pronounce my whole name and then without…
Yeah, it’s very unfortunate the lack of education these days. It’s not that it’s not accessible, but people are lazy. Rihanna does have a tattoo of Isis under her breasts and that tattoo has become so popular and people don’t even know who she is. Lol imagine that.
Isn’t it baffling the associations people make when it’s something negative that surrounds your name, birthday, etc.? So crazy! My cousin was also born Sept. 11th and we haven’t given him a cake that has anything to do with the tragedy to this day... go figure. Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts with me!
Lol, so cool! I wish I did! Right now I just consider my heart my magic amulet!
Thanks, I really enjoy my name. My sister and her husband were overseas in Italy (her husband is in the Army) and the Army “Strongly encouraged” them to reconsider naming my niece Isis. They didn’t name her Isis. All that to say, I can definitely relate to being disappointed at how easily people are influenced to do…
