I left all of my furniture at my last place for the same reason. One of my neighbors had bedbugs. Myself and the neighbor next to me had rodents. I wanted none of it, and bailed. I left everything except my recliner, and I took it apart to make damn sure there was nothing in it before put it in storage.

I don’t know how close to each other the condos are in New York, but if they are the only ones fumigating, it’s a lead pipe cinch that the bugs/rodents are just moving from one unit to the other.
