He was at his best on the original X-Force. I still think he draws the best Shatterstar

McFarlane was amazing, literally he revitalized comic book art in a way that nobody else did. Spider-man 300, the first appearance of Venom is still one of my favorite books of all time. He wasn’t that great a writer but his visuals were suburb!

He turned out to be such a nutcase. Like the fact that Captain Marvel got undermined by a pot bellied low rent cos-player has always been one of the more frustrating parts of that era.

Yes, they were basically all ex-cons or something skirting around the law. I think the first black Superhero to have his own book in the modern era who WASN’T connected to the criminal justice system was Black Lightening.

You clearly don’t understand satire. Also, citing the Ultimate Universe Thor, who no longer even exits, who was a very unique take that has not been repeated in any other medium (movies, cartoons, or comics) as a counter point is some world class comic troll cherry picking.

It’s satirical :-)

Sooooo you just click headings and comment right ?

I read the article you linked to, it meandered and could’ve been about 500 words shorter and made the same point. It’s essentially a “Don’t let perfect be the enemy of the good” when it comes to race and policy. I don’t think she engages the arguments well enough but I see her point.

Then why do you bother commenting? Clearly you’d rather complain about a group of people working on solutions than y’know... Being a part of the solution.....

I was knocked out after the weekend. The Naija can party and dance all night. Rarely would a hotel gala be louder than Bourbon street and yet....

Lol it took a full day before I stopped saying “IG-BO” by accident. I got a whole grammar lesson by a couple of people. There were dollars everywhere people danced it was like an ATM had been smashed on the dance floor...

Were those references made during Winnick’s Outsiders run? Seems like the kind of thing he would tap into. Since he seemed to really be interested in Speedy’s/ Arsenal’s sexuality

Yeah I remember that - the current Deathstroke comic with Christopher Priest addresses how screwed up that was. But that wasn’t the only part. It was also pretty clear that Starfire was sold into sexual slavery and abuse prior to escaping to Earth. Lotta dark undertones in 80's comics.

Lol, yeah I’m sure those folks will show up eventually. But the story of Amandla passing up on Black Panther was kindof an anti-dote to that line of reasoning.

Trailer was trash. In fact, the costuming looks horrible and the casting is not impressive, but that is a separate issue from Anna Diop as Starfire. I’ve never been a fan of the last decade’s reboot of Raven as some gothy teen incapable of controlling her powers. Plus, an all white Teen Titans in 2018?I want a team

I meant more in terms of the overall place in the comic universe. In the 80's when the modern Teen Titans premiered they were the hottest selling comic at DC. They rivaled the X-Men and almost got a cartoon first. Justice League used to play second fiddle to the Titans, just like in the 80's Avengers were second to

As I have said and written and yelled about from every outlet known to man. People making false calls to police for harassment should be ticketed and fined. It’s in the law. Filing a false report is a crime. This doesn’t require re-inventing the wheel, and I promise any city council person or mayor who runs with a

Thanks- I've been writing about this for awhile too, especially in the sci-fi genre. FilmFatale's challenge on Twitter to name a leasing black actress under 30 who isn't biracial or very light was illuminating to alot of people.
