For real, I squealed when I read this headline. I’m so excited!

It’s a bad, bad movie that is sadly loved by black people because it’s one of the few we have on this type. Similarly, the much superior yet still very flawed love jones which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. We revere it, but it’s also not that good. I love the idea of love jones, I love the look of it—-and…

I can’t believe white critics panned this movie, but then again, when this movie came out, I was in Japan, so we got it a little bit delayed. We absolutely were excited to see it, because it kinda marked the “return” of Eddie Murphy at the time.

It’s movies like this that make me miss the 90s like crazy.
