In January, Kyra Davis released her erotica series, Just One Night, exclusively as e-books through Simon & Schuster's digital imprint. Much as the Fifty Shades erotica series did last year, Davis' trilogy (which features The Stranger, Exposed and Binding Agreement) has garnered a cultlike following.
But that quiet success may soon go mainstream, according to the Hollywood Reporter, since Just One Night has been optioned for television by the production company Anonymous Content.

In addition to television development, there are plans for Simon & Schuster to release print editions of the series.
All three of the books that Anonymous Content has licensed will be published in a single volume in January by Simon & Schuster, which released the e-book versions through its digital sales division. All three have appeared on the New York Times list of e-books in print, even though it is not yet in print.
Davis, who is black, spent most of her adult years managing a Nordstrom store, according to the story. As her first marriage was ending, she turned to writing and found some mild success in 2005 when she published her first book, Sex, Murder, and a Double Latte with the publishing house Harlequin. That would turn into the Sophie Katz Mysteries series.
